Glass Cupping

cup4Cupping is a subtle yet powerful therapy that compliments many healing modalities. It can be implemented on its own or combined with other therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine or massage.

By creating suction and negative pressure, cupping is used to: stimulate and drain excess fluids and toxins, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles and stimulate internal organ function and the peripheral nervous system.

Massage cupping can help alleviate pain, decrease swelling, increase range of motion and speed up the healing process.

For practitioners, cupping requires only simple and inexpensive instruments, is relatively easy to learn, is time and energy efficient and achieves excellent results.

On this course you were learn how to use and apply both the glass and the plastic cups.  Glass cupping is usually used when a client requests a full cupping treatment, whilst plastic cups are usually used to complement sports massage and associated therapies aimed at correcting muscular dysfunction.

During the day you will learn how to use cupping to; release myofascia, use cups as massage tools in order to save your hands, desensitise trigger points, stimulate and access meridians, and treat a range of conditions commonly seen in your clinic room (be you an holistic or sports based therapist).
