Manual Neuromuscular Testing

Ever wondered why stretching those hamstrings that you sense are ‘tight’ never seems to make a difference? How can the cause of that shoulder problem actually be an issue with the glute?  Everything is testing ‘weak’/’strong’, what’s going on?

Find out the answers to these questions and more on this one day, fast paced manual neuromuscular testing course.

Learn how to get to the bottom of muscular dysfunction that all too often leads to pain and discomfort by using a very specific type of  manual muscle testing.  Many therapists can recognise common dysfunctions but find it difficult to determine the cause or direction of dysfunction, so the benefits of treatment and related exercises are limited.

In this course you will learn how to be a good investigator by developing your palpatory, observational and muscle testing techniques in order to distinguish between facilitated and inhibited hypertonic muscles within common compensatory movement patterns, together with the direction of dysfunction.

You will be taught how to use the results of your clinical testing to inform both your treatment within the clinic room and the all important ‘homework’ given to the client.

Influenced by the work of current leaders in the manual therapy industry;  Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains), Perry Nickleston (Stop Chasing Pain), Kathy Dooley (Immaculate Dissection), Thomas Wells (The Body Mechanic), Jocelyn Olivier (NeuroMuscular Reprogramming) and David Weinstock (Neurokinetic Therapy) this course is a good introduction to a number of concepts that can really enhance your clinical practice.
