RACHEL BOOTH
Rachel is the founder of and principal tutor for York Holistic Training. She started her career as a Health and Physical Education teacher, moving gradually into Holistic and Sports Therapy since qualifying with credits in her first practitioner course in this area in 1997.
With a Sports Science degree background, a history of sports participation and coaching, and having taught for over 20 years in a number of different UK and international institutions, Rachel has the skills, subject knowledge and experience necessary to deliver a range of courses at all levels, and to get the best out of students.
In addition to teaching, Rachel runs a successful sports therapy business, plays competitive hockey, tennis and squash and keeps abreast of current developments in the areas of health, complementary therapies and education.
Her recent on-going professional development has taken her into the area of neuro-kinetic therapy, which, along with her skills in postural assessment and gait analysis, is proving invaluable with clients presenting with dysfunctional movement patterns.

LOUISE HACKING
Louise has a degree in Physical Education and has taught in a variety of education and sporting environments since 2010. Today, as well as teaching Physical Education in a Secondary School and teaching for York Holistic Training, Louise runs her own mobile therapy business based in Leeds. A Level 4 Sports Therapist, Louise completed both her L3 and L4 qualifications with YHT. She impressed us so much with her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and her understanding of muscular dysfunction, sports injuries and rehab, we found a spot for her on our teaching team!
Louise plays competitive tennis and netball and trains hard in the gym. A conscientious, competitive sports person and educator – a fantastic and most welcome addition to our team.
